"What to look for with buying an ITR"
hi guys im in the process of selling my 98 ls that ive had for almost 2 yrs and then upgrading to a R. what would u guys say to look for on the car to make sure its all legit. I just don't wanna get screwed like i did with getting the LS, have the motor blow a month after buying it, and a bunch of other problems to go along with it. so help me out. thx
Previous maintenance records
Title condition
compression/leakdown tests
do you have a garage
Mods or previous mods
run a carfax
Mostly what I would advise is be patient and be willing to travel. I picked up my second in Wisconsin and third in NY/CT. I'm from FL so I travelled quite a bit. The first one I got was local and not near as nice as those other 2. Get what YOU want and don't settle. If there are things you don't like about a certain car, discuss with the owner and negotiate. There are a lot of nice ITR's for sale at the moment. Pick and choose what YOU want as the buyer. Don't just settle for any old R out there.

A sales pitch for your car is hardly advice on what to look for when buying a car...
