2001 Type R transmission for sale, $550.00
Sold Sold Sold!
I am selling my transmission for the R with 68,000 miles
I'll try to give you a detailed history as I can w/o scaring you off...
The dealer replaced the cases & bearing in 2003 for a spun/ bad bearings. they claimed everything else was fine.
It has gearspeed carbon coated syncros installed in 2005.
The transmission has only seen 2000 maybe 3000 miles since the syncros were installed.
The shifter forks Need to be replaced, reason- I'm not sure why but something is off inside causing them to wear.
It pops out of gear, 2nd thru 4th But it still can drive with out any other problems.
I do not want to spend any more time on this transmission.
Here is the deal.
there is no VIN plate but has the symbol showing a dealer replacement case.
You will have to open the transmission up and thoroughly check each and every part then replace as needed. But talking to a few people that know my trans it seems like shifter forks should be the only thing to replace.
The good news is I have shifter forks for the buyer.
The first $550. gets it!
I am willing to ship but since this is heavy the cost of shipping might not be worth it. Shipping cost are solely of the buyer.
So I would prefer a local sale, if it's not too far I can deliver for the cost of gas and tolls.
Is there anyone out there who wants a ITR Transmission?
I will ONLY accept cash or a US postal money order- Maybe a trade for a new ACT HD-SS and stock axles But No paypal!
Once I have your payment I will need 24 hours to pull it out of the car and ship/ pickup or deliver. I must have the car in working order at my new garage.
It is being sold 'as is'.
PLEASE use email to discuss the sale of the transmission. BBASSO@YAHOO.COM

I am not parting out the transmission, it's cheap enough to buy it whole and do as you please to it.
If you know my phone number and are interested in the transmission then feel free to call me.

Not a bad price, I'd love to pickup and rebuild it. If I hadn't just purchased new seats and rails I would be in contact. Best wishes with the sale and getting your car back on the road!
