its a shame, but winter tyres aren't really done over here. people just buy a set of tyres and run them year-round.

my dad went ballistic when i bought a spare set of wheels to put winter tyres on when the weather got crappy

I have Nokian all seasons on my car, and they're working just fine for me. Even in 8 inches of snow.

And speaking of cold, the windchill temperature here today is -30. That translates into -22 in Americaland.

I hate it here so bad.

its cold enough that i started wearing a coat a couple of weeks ago. i'll get a frost on the car in the mornings now

to get the ° symbol

press and holt the Alt key, then whilst that is depressed, type 0176 on your number pad and let go of the Alt key and it will appear 8)

we got about 1/2 an inch of snow early this morning. Looks nice outside, but most of it is gone already.
