Year: 2001 Make: Honda Model: Integra Type R Location: Pomona, CA Mileage: 40k Miles Title: CALIFORNIA TITLED
No issues at all with the car mechanically wise. Some minor dings but you can barely see them, Front lip has a minor scratch. I would rate the Exterior 8/10, and the Interior is also an 8/10 the drivers seat has some wear.
Price: 21,500 firm 1 week pricing only!! will trade for ap2 only

yeah that is what he was saying the production stamp on most vehicles is the year before it is released so an 01 like yours would be known as a 02. look at any other cars your or a friend may have and look at the production date compared to the date on the owners manuel.

And so I did a search... http://www.modernracer.com/hondaintegratyper.html http://www.carsurvey.org/review_84064.html
Nothing shows what you are saying, All DC2 Integras ended in 2001, All DC5 Integra or aka RSX started in 2002.
Care to show me your proof that your DC5 is an 01 and is registered or declared as 01?
Not starting a war, just trying to find out what goes on here.
I worked for honda for 5 years. It should be 02. and if it is that queshtonable call honda. The "Born on Date" is different from the year model. any thing after June is considered the next year. so a car born on 7-01 will be an 02. do you understand. BBasso is correct on this one.
i agree with the owner about it being a 2001 they started production a year early in japan. same with the s2000 in japan started production in 1999 and heres a link to another 2001http://www.batfa.com/usedcar-integratyper2001blue.html
In japan the new dc5 was started in 2001 in fact i did a search on tradecarview.com and when you put in 2001 integra it's only dc5 that pop up and none dc2's i also belive that dc2 in japan were only available till 2000. It also makes sense because these cars are being made in japan so they get them before we do in north america and get released here later on in time just like any manufacturer of orgin would do, they fill in their countrys orders first then have cars shipped out to other countries.

I've heard this before. I think I've even seen JDM brochures on eghey of 2001 DC5 ITRs
technically no you can not but i've heard of people getting lawyers to do paper work and the car is then labeled as a hobby/kit car even though it's not a kit car. Just what i've heard so don't take my word for it. So I guess if you have money anything is possible
