LSD Indentification?

I will be looking at a 1998 ITR that I am interested in buying. The owner informed me that the transmission was replaced under warranty by an Acura Dealership. What can I look for to verify it is a ITR trans? Would the Vin plate on the original transmission be transferred over to the new unit?

To verify the LSD you would have to pull both axles out and look thru the holes- if you can see thru then good, if not then bad.

I believe it's on the back of the tranny near the LSD. That black plastic cone in the picture above is where the speed sensor goes.
