Trac Racing Time Attack

Post by bbqman »

Trac Racing proudly presents its first annual Time Attack Championship. The goal is simple: maximum fun without headaches! Come and enjoy safe timed events at the Autodrome St-Eustache. Every event will be timed with transponders to maximize track time. Classifying your car will never be easier! The only things you need for a safe and fun event are a car in good working order and a Snell 2000 or better helmet!

Dates:

1st event: May 19th 2008
2nd event: June 22nd 2008
3rd event: August 24th 2008

Location:

Autodrome St-Eustache

Cost per event:

130$ tx included for pre-registration
150$ tx included at the door

Car classification:

Cars are classified in 3 major classes: Street, modified and race. These classes will be subdivided by drive-train: Front Wheel Drive (FWD), Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) or All Wheel Drive (AWD).

Street: Tire thread wear index of 140 and up. Cars must be street cars.
Modified: Tire thread wear index of 50 to 140.
Race: Tire thread wear index of 50 and less.
no dash=RACE

Modifications are open, so no head banging to classify your car. It’s as easy as that! More time for racing and fun!

Scoring System:

Scoring will be based on the Formula 1 system. Within each class, points will be awarded in the following manner:

1st place: 10 points
2nd place: 8 points
3rd place: 6 points
4th place: 5 points
5th place: 4 points
6th place: 3 points
7th place: 2 points
8th place: 1 point

An extra 2 bonus points is awarded to the fastest time of the tire class.
An extra bonus point is awarded to the fastest time of the day (FTD).

In every event, there will be a shootout of the 5 fastest drivers which will go head to head for extra bonus points:
3 points for 1st place
2 points for 2nd place
1 point for 3rd place

The driver with most points at the end of the season wins!
