Cali rocked. Went to a local beer brewing spot and tried their red and stout. Good stuff.

<---- really REALLY glad he doesn't live in cali. WTF? We are sitting in the resturant (upstairs to a local surf shop) and we are watching cops give tickets for folks skateboarding or riding bikes on the sidewalk. I mean really... nothing better to do?

Also watched a "side" show, some d00d hammered a nail into his nose. LOL

We went to Long Beach and Huntington Beach. Huntington was by far WAY better and had more "locals" and more going on. They had an AVP vollyball tourney going on (no, didn't watch)

walked around for a bit and saw the sights.

I'm in Las Vegas mang. Long time buddy of mine moved out here about a year and a half ago and now wants to move back.

So I told him I'd help him drive back if I could fly out and visit a few places locally.

We went to Red Rock today, Mt. Charlston tomorrow and then before we leave for the drive back on Thursday, up to Grand Canyon.

This is also my very first trip out west so this is all very different to me to look around and see mountains everywhere. It's gorgeous!!!

Yep, and Bryce is absolutely amazing as well. Also not too far from northern rim of GC.

If you get a chance though, take a relatively fun car and drive the section of I-15 that goes through AZ. It's about a 15mile stretch of probably the funnest Interstate Highway I've ever been on.

It'll be me and my buddy in his non-extended cab S-10, and his girl and her friend in their Passat. One of the girls has a small bladder, so not to many liquids for that one. And we are already weighing the option of me jumping in the girls car for a bit later on, to keep on the road a bit farther.
