Tell him about it so he could get a laugh, thanks again for that clutch.
It's seen two heavy long distance tows, bunch of light short tows, a few tracks, and about 30,000 miles!

So the other day I replaced an axel seal on the pass side and when I removed it, it had no spring retainer. It had simply vanished. Wasnt in the tranny or on the ground or wrapped around my screwdriver. I wonder if when we did the JDM tranny if those JDM axle seals dont use springs? Anyone ever experienced this?

The spring popped out Thursday night heading home from Will's. It was the stock you gave me! I put another stock in I got for free too SaturdayDave_B wrote:

I'll try to load a pic, but I hot wired my phone as my modem and the cell service here is shaky at best... usually less then 100K transfer I used to snatch WiFi but everyone either moved or put passwords, fuckers

Never seen an axle seal like that not have a spring.
Good to hear Rob, that's been almost 2 years or maybe even longer.

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
You must have missed that post. CRAZY THING about that grinding, whirling sound. It turns out my catch can tube that allows you to gauge how much oil is in it had come un sealed when I had emptied it. Taht opening was allowing sounds to come out. It was acting as an amplifier or a megaphone of my engine internals. I had retightened the hoses going to the can but I had accedently put my hand on the oil level tube and the pitch changed. I moved it around some more and the got quieter. I then rammed the tube back in and the noise went away. Pretty crazy huh. Never woula guessed it in a million years.Dave_B wrote: Odd... did that solve your "whirling" problem/sound?
