Anyone know anything about DIRECT TV?

I have 4 boxes with remotes that are pretty much brand new. Can someone else use these and maybe save them some money when they get DIRECT TV? I have no use for them...Im using cable.

Yes, it's all in the cards that are installed in the boxes.

Are they HD boxes? DVR boxes or just plain Sat boxes?

Hmmmm, would they say it on the box itself? I can go un-pack them and check.

Edit: Just checked them...they say DIRECT TV on the front left and say Receiver D10 on them...not sure what that means or what that makes them.

Do they have HDMI connections on them? That would verify if they are HD.

If it has the top 1 or 2 cables/ports, then it is most likely HD capable.

I'll gladly put them to use in my house.

Either I'll aquire some HD ones, or purchase through Direct TV.

To stress that i don't have a problem handing out something for free providing someone is going to use it? Why do you ask?

Example: The free AEM Cold Air Intake i gave you approximately 3 years ago. Still using it right?

I'm confused???? Why does me referencing the intake mean something crawled up my ass? I was merely using my generousity to you as an example of how things should play out when someone is kind enough to donate something for free.

Glad to hear the JRSC will be put on the car this Spring. That is another perfect example of what i am talking about here. It would have been fukced up had you try to sell it for profit, but you aren't that type of guy.

Obviously should you ever sell the car you would donate the charger to someone else just as you acquired it, no? That is unless of course you sold the car with the charger installed which wouldn't help your selling price anyhow.

I dont think I ever said I was selling these boxes (that I did pay for myself). What I got outta this topic was you saying you'd give something away and that I was wrong for trying to sell them? On that note...they are for sale!
