i used the fridge brush and taped it to the end of a broom and had Nicole turn the dryer on (no heat) and rodded the pipe out (where I could not reach).
then banged the pipe a bit to shake the stubborn bits off.
i had a trash can sitting right under the open end of the pipe and most all of the lint fell right in the can.
only thing I can figure is that the moisture from the clothes makes the inside of the pipe sticky and the lint sticks to it and then drys and crusts up.
the new dryer trapps the lint well so not as much will get into the pipe. :fingers crossed:
i may see if the local hardware store has new pipes (with smoother insides) and swap the vent pipe out.
the one under there looks like a hvac/water heater vent pipe (galvanized) and does not need to be so weather proof.
at the stuff that was stuck inside of there.
My thoughts exactly.
