Can some people please post pics, or links, of companies which make a front mount exhaust for the ITR.
Thanks in advance.

What? I have never heard of a front mount "exhaust" before. I've seen them dump from the side but never from the front. I have a front exit dump tube for my waste gate. Is that what yor talking about? I posted some pics up here a few days ago if you wanna see them just do a search.

The search is up top between the FAQ and memberlist of the screen. Is this what you are talking about?

Well thats not an exhaust. Its a wastegate dump tube and it's not something you can buy. It was custom built...from the piping to the metal heat shild and screws...sorryBlack R wrote:Yes, that is totally awesome man! Anymore? And who makes that system?

BTW: What exhaust are you running?
If you look on http://www.Hytechexhaust.com and then look under the Honda link...the drag header is side exit...Either way, I hope you realize how unbelievably loud that header would be...
Most exhausts that you see coming out the front bumper, are off of turbos, or just a very long header...I have yet to see a side exit exhaust system produced for a honda that has any type of muffler or sound dampning...
Later,
Aj

What are side-exit exhausts for, anyway? I'm not sure it's the most efficient thing to do, even under racing circumstances.
All the racing exhausts I've seen exit toward the rear. They might exit early but the header definitely directs the exhaust rearward under the block.
A lot of the Honda Challenge exhausts seem to exit under the rear seats of the ITR.

Normally I'd agree, but some of the fastest all motor drag cars, such as Erick Aguilar's is acutally side exit, well kinda...though I'm sure that it wasn't done that way to purposely exit out the side, I think the way the headers are shaped in some of the drag cars I've seen, it's just more efficient to continue in the same direction, in addition, this way the header doesn't heat up the oil pan...but in all honesty, that's just speculation, and I really havn't a clue??? If you look at Erick Aguilar's header on his car...
you'll notice it dips out to the side, and for what ever reason, then turns to the rear...I'd hate to be sitting in his seat...speaking stricktly from a volume point of view...hahaha
Any way...later,

Ground Clearance is One Reason
Actually there isn't really any difference in the bends for a 4-1 header when going to the rear or out the side. But for a race application (very large primaries tubes) the ground clearance would suffer greatly with a rear discharge header.
Here's an adjustable side exit header I did for the Hocus Pocus car.
The tubes can be positioned in front of the engine so they don't hange below the oil pan. I like going to the passenger side with the tailpipe since one has more room to adjust the tailpipe length.
It's also important how the tailpipe discharges into the oncoming air at speed.
Plus they are bling bling.
