A month ago, both of my cars were stolen from my drive way. One being my precious ITR and the other my wife’s EK. I’m currently working with the insurance claim for the ITR at the moment. The car market isn’t so great at the moment, and to make matter worse, in the area I live, there is not many ITR for sale either. Most of the Autotrader ad I found is way out of the area. The claim person is using the GSR model as the value to go from. I tried to explain the difference, but it seems she doesn’t really care. I am pretty frustrated at this point with the offer they gave me. I also provided all recipe/invoice for all work done to the car. I am contemplating about hiring my own appraiser. If anyone know or have connection to such person, please send me a pm.
Any input/suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Info about the car:
Mileage: 23,xxx
Year: 2001
Condition: Show room condition
PS. My insurance is through State Farm.

Re: Insurance Claim (*Need Help*)
Bring up the KBB and that they just listed the ITR as one of the best collector cars out there right now.
Show her the KBB private sale prices (not that they are going to go by that, but just to prove there is a difference in price)
Fight, fight... FIGHT!!!
Do NOT settle with what you are not comfortable with.
Another thought, use the Autotrader ad's ITR vs GS-R values.
Basically, try to prove through your own work (as they are looking for the shortest way out) that there is a difference in price and models.

I sent them that information along with all my invoice. Is true that if I have recipe for all work/parts, I could get that back? Of course not everything but at least something?
