I was reading an article in one of my magazines and saw they were testing out Unorthodox Racing Light Weight Pulleys to free up some hp from the engine. I was just wondering because I have heard from others about light weight pulleys not being ballanced and messing up peoples engines up when installing them.
Now is this mod even good for our cars? I was told to check out Fluidampr or ATI.

Re: LIGHT WEIGHT PULLEYS
Lightweight pulleys are junk IMO. I would choose not to run my motor over running a lightweight crank pulley(that doesn't have a harmonic balancer). I would stick with OEM, I am familiar Fluidamper but I have not heard a personal review or a review from someone I respect.

Re: LIGHT WEIGHT PULLEYS
I've been running the n1 crank pully with just the alt. (No p.s or a/c) for over 3 years now. I've put maybe 40k miles on the thing. No i'll effects. However I havn't looked at my bearings to verify whats really going on with the motor.
Re: LIGHT WEIGHT PULLEYS
I had the AEM pullies in my old car and all I really got was headlights that dimmed.
