I'm really really tempted to just go ahead and buy my friend's ITR. I'm missing mine more and more each day. Any updates Joe? Ever get it registered? I've neglected to deregister it incase you drove it for something and a cop just happened to run your tags. Atleast right now it'll still show being registered.

From what you have told me Chris you are kind of in a tight spot. Do what you feel is best now, and for your future. You want to be happy in the car you drive everyday, but if you got another ITR you would want to enjoy it. Sadly thieves ruin our world. :x

Not too much of an update. A package of OEM Honda parts arrived today, nuts and bolts and clips she was missing. (Oil pan was missing 2 bolts and a nut, so was leaking a wee bit, no biggie). I also received and installed an ITR clock courtesy of CoolhandRyan :) Other than that, just cleaning and gawking at heR :P

No I haven't registered heR yet....busy as fawk juggling 3 jobs now, the full time accounting, PT taxes, and PT meat jorbs. I did tear apart, clean, and lube the lock mechanism on the driver's door and it works flawlessly now with the key, etc. Tomorrow I will file down that spot weld on the header and button heR up. I haven't been able to even start heR in well over a week now. She's been on stands in the garage :( I'm really gonna try this week to get the registration done.....outside chance I may have to send you a form to sign.....goddamn New York fucking state and their red tape bullshit. They want signed title, bill of sale, and possibly another state form signed by the seller. We'll see...I'll bitch out a few state workers before bugging you. :P

Don't worry bout your registration, I won't be driving heR until she's 100% legit, especially with insurance. I'll make sure you have your plates back by the end of the month....hopefully by Christmas 8) I really hope you can get that R Chris!! HRD PRKR :P

I've got to pay off some debt, and as soon as the debt is gone, I think I'll be back into an R again. I've been given a price I cannot refuse.

Rob. if you wanted to go to Amsterdam then you better hurry.

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) -- Amsterdam unveiled plans Saturday to close brothels, sex shops and marijuana cafes in its ancient city center as part of a major effort to drive organized crime out of the tourist haven.

Smokers in one of the cafes that will be targeted by authorities in the Netherlands.

The city is targeting businesses that "generate criminality," including gambling parlors, and the "coffee shops" where marijuana is sold openly. Also targeted are peep shows, massage parlors and souvenir shops used by drug dealers for money-laundering.

"I think that the new reality will be more in line with our image as a tolerant and crazy place, rather than a free zone for criminals," said Lodewijk Asscher, a city council member and one of the main proponents of the plan.

The news comes just one day after Amsterdam's mayor said he would search for loopholes in new rules laid down by the national government that would close marijuana cafes near schools citywide. The measures announced Saturday would affect about 36 coffee shops in the center itself, a little less than 20 percent of the city total.

Asscher underlined that the city center will remain true to its freewheeling reputation.

"It'll be a place with 200 windows [for prostitute]) and 30 coffee shops, which you can't find anywhere else in the world -- very exciting, but also with cultural attractions," he said. "And you won't have to be embarrassed to say you came."

Under the plan announced Saturday, Amsterdam will spend €30 million to €40 million ($38 million to $51 million) to bring hotels, restaurants, art galleries and boutiques to the center. It will also build underground parking areas.

Amsterdam had plans to close many brothels and some coffee shops, but those announced Saturday go further.

Asscher said the city would reshape the area, using zoning rules, buying out businesses and offering assistance to upgrade stores. The city has shut brothels and sex clubs in the past by relying on a law allowing the closure of businesses with bookkeeping irregularities.

Prostitution will be allowed only in two areas in the district, notably De Wallen ("The Walls"), a web of streets and alleys around the city's medieval retaining dam walls. The area has been a center of prostitution since before the city's golden shipping age in the 1600s.

Prostitution was legalized in the Netherlands in 2000, formalizing a long-standing tolerance policy.

Marijuana is technically illegal in the Netherlands, but prosecutors won't press charges for possession of small amounts. Coffee shops are able to sell it openly

I'd say Chicago would be a great place, but it's certainly not "guaranteed" to be a white Christmas there, same as up here in Milwaukee. The last couple years we have gotten a lot of snow, but there have been quite a few years with no snow...

I'v been to Chicago four times in the week following Christmas. Everytime it has snowed before, or after, but while I was there temperatures have been upper 30s. Two years ago it was "warm" by being 49. We had the windows open at night in the hotel, it was wild. The trip has been canceled the past two years so we'l see if I have make the trip and get snow.

I've been in Chicago once, at Christmas. Highs in the single digits/low teens with an asston of snow on the ground.

Of course, that was '85 or so. Global warming and all

Hrm... I may have to start looking at the Almanac's and see where and how much.

I don't mind top of mountains, and it doesn't necessarily have to be snowing on Christmas morning, so long as there's still some stuck on the ground when I wake up.

*shutter* at teens, single digits... don't think I've ever been in that kind of weather during the day. Night time, with wind chills, yes... daytime with sun out... NOPE!
