kind of a silly question but what the hell
if i got a JR supercharger and a Hondata s300 module, instead of taking it to a mechanic. i was wondering if a member of this site might come down and help me install it. id really love to learn how to do it and have a buddy alongside showing me how to do it, i could probably pay the person some money for the help. mostly i think it would just be a great time learning and stuff tho. if anyone would be interested PM me or post in here. or if its a difficult thing to do and i NEED mechanic i can certainly do that.

Could pay?, Honestly you would have to have a good friend to do that. I hear it's like 8 hrs to install... So expect to pony up a bunch of money!teddyblank wrote:if i got a JR supercharger and a Hondata s300 module... i could probably pay the person some money for the help....
8hrs X (min)$70per hr = $$$
Since you have no clue, I suggest (if you do get it) take it and the car to a reputible shop and just let them do it.
Nothing personal, just some things are beyond some people's skill levels.
But on a serious note, take the time as do more research before asking all of these questions. yahoo / google will be a great tool for information if the popular Honda/Acura site don't provide.

oh believe me im trying to learn, ive read so much on engines in the past 2 months that im really just trying to learn more about VTEC and honda B-series engines at this time. Also i signed up for a trade school course in auto mechanics.
i figured having a buddy on here to help install it would be much more valuable learning than just reading about it. cuz if i knew how to install somethin like that and a friend asked me id definatly do it. i guess thats why it was kinda silly to ask, but its cool. hopefully i can figure it out sooner rather than later so i can do it myself. thanks anyways.

Go buy a beeter to daily drive before you started dumping coin into the R. We aren't going to feel bad for you when the car disappears if we know you supercharged your car instead of buying a beeter to drive daily.

a lot of people worry about theft. I never did. I built my car to drive and drove it everyday the weather allowed to malls, sporting events, vacation, etc. If you are goin to spend money on the car enjoy it IMO. I had a total of about 50k in my R from the time I bought it, swaping parts, maintenance etc. and I did worry about it disappearing but it never made me not take it somewhere. I would suggest a beater for the winter if you are goin to start making more power though
