Re: Console Armbadge Question?
If I remember right, the 2001's are almost completely random. The other years have some groups of VIN/Badge # combinations which have patterns. I think that is how Joe does what he does best. He da-man!
PM Joe (Doespike) and he may be able to help you figure out what it is. Good luck!sneakerheathen wrote:My badge doesn't even have a #....

Re: Console Armbadge Question?
The badge # being similar to the last digits of the VIN is merely a coincidence. There is no direct relation between the VIN and badge. You can't calculate the badge from the VIN. However, there are distribution patterns of the badges vs the VIN. Meaning within the same "batch" of ITRs that left the factory...say VINs ending 002000-002020...they should all be in the same group of 20 badges. Often times there is a nearly perfect linear relation with maybe a couple flip-flops.High-Mile-Type-R wrote:I'm the second owner of my Type-r...the first owner bought the R with 3 miles on it...car was never stolen or anything i bought it off a doctor... my question... my arm badge says im #857 and my last 3 vin# is 825? is this correct....seems odd.
Yeah, the 2001s were done a little more carelessly Some of the batches of ITRs had badges assigned completely randomly...within a badge range. Example. ITR VINs began at 000001 for model year 2001. Well, the first ~140 badges were randomly assigned to those first 140 ITRs by VIN. IIRC 000001 was badge #94 or 95 and Badge # 01-0001 was on ~ VIN 000050. VIN 000051 could have been badge # 114.
