Man I want to drive that track......in that car.
I wonder also if maybe you're putting in too much steering input. Turning the wheel too far can actually make you understeer more than if you backed off the wheel just a bit. A tire only has so much slip angle before it lets go and momentum takes over. So if you're going through a corner and understeering, straightening the wheel just a little bit could actually make you turn more in certain cases. Now I'm not telling you this so you go try and drive off the outside of the track. I'm just giving you some things to consider and look into. I've been in many cases where this has been true and I used to put in way way too much steering until someone pointed htis out to me and I backed it off a bit on certain corners and it worked wonderfully.

I thought my made it clear Iwas just giving you a hard time.walker111 wrote: Because with alot of power accelerationg thru a turn can induce understeer. I can take my car and virtually stomp on the gas in a turn, that same turn with my friends turbo R i plow because the wheels break loose. There are other variables involved, just saying with alot of power you can understeer whenever you want.

That's actually my buddy Johnathan driving that car. He was in the support race for the ALMS 12 hours of Sebring.Erik95LS wrote:What are you talking about? Thats nearly identical to an ITR.Dave_B wrote:

I'll keep the slip angle thing in mind for next time. It very well may have been to much input. That's something I didn't think much about. I'll talk to the instructor and see what he thinks on it.

Might want to try only the eibach pro-kit springs. They should be fine on your stock shocks or you could get some ITR shocks for cheap. Hell even the whole stock ITR suspension would be great on your car and very cost effective. It would reduce body roll by a good bit and you wouldn't really have to worry about swaybars or your subframe unless you decided that that still wasnt' enough. The pro0kit is very good too. about .5-1 in lower and not harsh at all, even on stock shocks.Doespike wrote: Cool, wrote his name, will look into his books soon. Forgot all about howstuffworks.com haha.
Basically one of the only mods I desire on my GS would be to reduce bodyroll in corners. When I'm driving, I hit turns fairly hard when its dry out and traffic allows. I searched "over there" and mostly came up with "slamming" threads But alot of those guys complained about performance after their coilover change or whatever, but it "looked" good. Again,
This looks like what I'm looking for, but I'm thinking springs should be upgraded at the very least. Even with the reinforcement kit, I'd think my subframe may eventually get damaged. And Joe don't want that But then I get to thinking what are the limits of my OEM shocks and how much stiffer of a spring could they handle.
But I don't want to do anything until I learn a whole lot more..

I know that the engine is a variable, but at corner entry, unless you're full throttle or have some mammoth motor it will have almost no effect.walker111 wrote:oh,Erik95LS wrote:I thought my made it clear Iwas just giving you a hard time.walker111 wrote: Because with alot of power accelerationg thru a turn can induce understeer.
