Did it need replacing? A new TB was installed on that car about a year and a half ago.

I'm trying to get car all done in time... assuming I do.. I'll be buying someones spot that is for sale (hopefully).

At worst... I'll throw a stock header on it and run NA. Ugh.

According to Larkin it was last done when he misshifted at MAM in 04 or 05. Granted I haven't looked through the receipts, so I was basing that maintenance on what he told me. I kept the old belt as a spare, so if nothing else, I'll have a good spare sitting around, or if it's really only 1.5 years old I can throw it on the GS-R to replace it's 8 year old belt :P

The head is definately shaved on the car.

Still working on mine, need to flush brake fluid, change the oil, and switch wheels. Anybody have a link to the tech inspection form? I must have missed it

My updated list...

So i had a bit of an issue w/ my workstation at home. I was in the middle of editing videos and the hard drive died :( The good news is that all of the raw vids are backed up, so I'll get back on that hopefully this weekend.

Also, my oil temp gauge came in yesterday, so I'm gonna try and install it tomorrow when I go visit the car at the body shop to take care of mechanical issues...

To do before expo:

- New calipers all the way around
- new front rotors, new pads all the way around (Carbotech XP-10 fronts, Stoptech rears)
- Driver's side axle rebuild
- Axle seal replacement (both sides)
- Adjust V-bands on vibrant to help prevent sway bar / muffler contact (really annoying BTW)
- replace rear, driver side LCA shock bolt (seems to have come a bit loose and seized in that position)
- brake fluid flush w/ Motul RBF600
- get car back from body shop
- take car to vinyl guy
- get car back from vinyl guy
- drive to expo :) (after packing, of course)

Oh, and first of many Hyperfest vids!

Blew my Mazdacomp diff up in the spec miata at Autobahn last weekend. In the process of swapping in either an open or viscous unit for the expo!

Also need to get the passenger seat and harness installed.

Need to replace a tie rod and possibly a wheel bearing in the tow vehicle.

Need to replace a wheel bearing and hub on the trailer... the bearing ate a zirk fitting :o

But other than all that, im ready to go. Lol.

flush coolant
change trans fluid
new spark plugs
fix my brake ducts
paint some stuff
new wipers/windex (just in case)

coolhandluke: Let me know how the Torco RTF feels. I tried some Torco MTF at the recommendation of another Honda guys and noticed stiffer shifting a slight 3rd gear grind. Back to Honda MTF now with no problems.

This will be my third batch of Torco RTF. It does require a tad bit more to engage on the street, but it is designed to hold up to the higher temps of track use. The trans fluid I had in before this was Torco MTF.
