Tomorrow an 05 Caddy in black that has never been cleaned properly before...
I'm looking into lips too. As for the hard top, don't you worry. It's in the works. Very light, minor mods to the car. It's pretty damn fun in stock form.

Yeah, I'm thinking OEM on it for the lip. As for sussy, I most likely won't do anything. Feels great the way it is.

I think I know that awning
Yes sir, that's her lair until I get a garage on the next house. I'm starting to look into that too.
The Lexus and S both look great! And yours Erik from the pic thread! So what products do you guys use/recommend? Use clay bar?
At the beginning of the summer I used some Turtle Wax rubbing compound with an electric polisher to get out years of scratches. Then I washed with mild laundry detergent and wax with Collinite Insulator Wax (used for auto, marine, aeroplanes, and insulating high-power electric lines).

PIC wont throw you a set for the s2k?
PIC doesn't produce sussy for the S. Otherwise, I'd probably be getting it.

I'm always looking for something better
I personally used a carnuba wash for the car, then I followed up with a 3 step Meguire's Crystal wax. You actually wax the car 3 times, but it's worth every bit of it.

Cool, after I rubbed the car I gave her 3 coats of the Collinite wax the same day. Then throughout the summer, every 3 weeks I hand washed/dried/ single waxed again.
One thing I'd do different is use a polishing compound or two after the rubbing. Still have very fine swirls in the paint, but all the waxing has minimized how noticable it is. Ah well, always next year
I use this if the car is spotless. If not- don't use. http://multimedia.mmm.com/mws/mediawebs ... Edc7rrrrQ-
It give the car the look of being wet and holds up for a while. But be sure to have used all the step before to maximize this stuff.
