hehe, I thoght the same, did some digging. The left is the original from cubanboy's thread.
IMHO, the crooked angle annoys me to begin with, but darkening the background around a black car- dunno- seems to add a smoggy, humid haze to the pic But at least you can see more blue in the water in your edited pic, if it weren't for the front parking light, I'd almost think the original was a b&w. But I don't know much about photography

I would have said which is which but I wanted to see if any one could pick.
As for the water, I made it look blue/green
and for the sky, I darkened it along with the ground to minamize so much contrast. Not to mention I wanted to make a more agressive picture, the org was so... Blah.

I think you did a good job. The sky was very overexposed (like Dawn's boods ) and looks much better on yours. The Car itself looks excellent, but the water looks edited to me. The rest all seems natural.
