HA!
I have been thinking about becoming a sponser, but that would ruin my chances at winning another raffle gift. 4IAR I gotta keep it going.
And my hypothetical raffle gift would be a gift certificate at sears for a auto vacuum or something along that line... But to do labor at an expo, I don't think so. I have my hands full as it is. One more thing would take away from DRINKING TIME.

I couldn't agree with you more, and I feel the same way with interior "shine" but that's why I like those products so much, they don't produce a shiny or greasy surface. More like a factory looking finish. The tires look brand new and not shiny either. Next time I use it on the tires, I'll get you before and after of Tire Shine and what I use.Chris N wrote:I just want to point out how gay tire shine is.

Not to put Rob down, but Jim if you've got the stuff coming already... get off your arse and get to it. I did it on my black car and it had loads of light scratches and swirls before I did the 3 step. I've seen the pics of what Rob does on here, and it looks great BTW, but get out there and do it yourself. You'll leave NY and have to do it all over again once you get home. I already have to do mine again and I've only had the car 2 weeks.

There are polymer sealants, and there are carnuba waxes. Both are used primarily to seal and protect the paint. Popular sealants include Zaino, Klasse Sealant Glaze, Platinum Ultimate Paint Protection, Poorboy's EX Sealant, and Meguiar's NXT. Popular carnubas include S100/P21S, Clearkote Carnuba Moose Wax, Pinnacle Paste Glaz, Pinnacle Souveran, and One Grand Blitz.Chris N wrote:what is this sealer? when to use it?Bbasso wrote:The reason why you had to do it again is because you did not use a sealer. Costly stuff, but well worth it.
Sealants last longer than carnubas alone- however, many detailers follow up a sealant with a carnuba wax. If you religiously detail your car, a sealant is generally not needed. For best results, it is recommended that a sealant be layered, but there is usually a 24 hour curing period to let the sealant bond to the paint before each additional layer can be added. The law of diminishing returns also plays a factor in this, so think before applying 100 coats of Klasse SG on your Civic
I'm gonna mess around with it this weekend if i get some time...Dave_B wrote:Not to put Rob down, but Jim if you've got the stuff coming already... get off your arse and get to it.
