I would have to disagree with that. I like the top end power the AEM CAI gives over the Mugen and the weight of the AEM CAI is a bunch less. While being cheaper, easier to install and less bling.

1. I think you would change your mind if you had it.
2. Is there really that much weight savings? The actual cold air part of the mugen intake is incredibly light. The heavy parts would be the filter/stock intake arm. The weight difference would be extremely (extremely) un-noticeable. You happen to have the dyno plot for your car(with AEM)?
3. The mugen intake is not incredibly hard to install, it is a quality part, that fits in a quality way.

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Not too mention the quietness of the Mugen and the mid range response is second to none.
Can I get an amen?
EG6-DC2 and I were comparing charts the other day...
He has very close mods to DaveB and puts out nearly the same power. While I'm only 5HP less and I think a few more TQ then the both of 'em.
The price of the mugen is not worth it in my book.
tartje wrote:btw mike why you no have mugen intake?
Just never got around to ordering one I guess. I will pick one up before Expo though - and I will do TUNED back-to-back dyno runs of the Mugen intake -vs- the AEM when the time comes.
Bbasso wrote:so the two charts you posted, which is your's with the moogen and most current?
The first one. That is the most current with 120k on the motor. DaveB doesnt have cams and is practically a brand new motor. I think it has less than 15k on it. Nolan has cams, mild, but still.
