Car is sold, to me. I finally have a 97, to add to my stable. Bill is a stand up guy.

Thanks again, Bill. The car is good hands. :)

Car was not sold from what I was told - I was in touch with the seller and got tons of pictures from him.

He said that the car is still for sale.

I decided to pass on it.

I spoke to him a few times and he was very nice and willing to explain everything in detail. I wanted to go pick up the car but he mentioned that he was getting a deposit but never got it. I would have booked a ticket and picked it up, but I personally felt like the previous damage was pretty severe and for only have 37k, it didn't seem to look it in the engine bay. I'm surprised that the car has a clean title but I never pulled a carfax and this is what I was told. The interior is very clean and the exterior is now clean, but the damage would probably bug me at that price point. Granted 11.5k is pretty cheap for a 97 R with 37k, I decided to let it go. One other thing to mention is that the title is not in hand so there is note that has to be paid off.

Here are the pictures I received from Bill - Hope these help you guys out!

From the looks of the bay, Id say it sat outside for quite some time... prolly after the accident :?

If the repairs were done well...this is still a pretty good deal IMO. Just needs some TLC.

I don't think any of those hits looks like it's any more than just body panel replacement, nothing that would have an effect on the structural integrity of the car. I would just ask to see the work order from the body shop.

Hello Members of the Community

There I was yesterday, trolling that black hole of commerce that is also referred to as EBAY, and guess what I found:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Acura-In ... sQ5fTrucks

I wonder what type of detailing the owner is getting done. Given the state of the engine bay, it can be easily assumed that a great deal of work is required. Moreover, I do hope that the owner and his representative(s) are forthcoming with the cars history.

Have a great day.

MINTY

Interesting that he's got a BIN of $17,950 on eBay while he's asking a lot less here. And the email now is for an Arthur, no longer for Bill. Did Bill consign it to Arthur for selling??

Bill told me that his friend was going to sell it for him ebay.

I find it EXTREMELY wrong for them to not disclose the previous accidents and how the front bumper, hood, fenders, driver door, and driver qp have all been replaced and no longer have the original VIN.
