Yeah, that seems pretty silly. I figured I could view that my friends were in a room, and join that. Dave we skated around between rooms trying to get things going and finally Mark's friend added us as friends and brought us in. I do all my online gaming on Xbox because their network is 10x better. People always argue the pay vs free, but when it comes down to quality Xbox has it hands down. I only really got my PS3 for bluray and the few exclusives, so I'm okay with some of the drawbacks with their network. Little Big Planet 2 and GT5 will be the only games I play online with my PS3.

I probably played Forza with maybe 2 'strangers'. I had a group of friends who held leagues and thats how I spent most of my online racing in that game. Which is something we should try doing with GT5. Have organized races, and points, just for fun of course. I dunno how the online structure of GT5 is. I like spec races for GT5. In Forza you could build cars to meet classes, so we would have class leagues, and you could use any car as long as it fit into the class, but since GT5 works totally different, just doing spec races would work.

we did a 50 lap race the other night amidst the spec miata stuff. It was pretty fun actually. Drinking beer down the back straight in true nascar fashionDave_B wrote:

Any night in particular work best for most everyone? Maybe we could start an official once a week race at set time in set lounge and go from there. Post up the race details at the beginning/end of the week and give everyone time to build a car.

Thursday nights work well for me. We can always change later if needed/group wants more/etc.
