Female black widows, males are harmless.
Top of abdomen can be solid or have some red blotches, bottom an hourglass.
As you can see, color can range from chocolate to jet-black, abdomen on a mature female is typically 1/2" dia.

I killed a Black Widow in the garage about two months ago. It was my third encounter with one in the past three years at my house. I'm normally very kind to nature, and appreciate spiders impact on the local environment. I say nah those those guys.

Bugs in general freak me out... say no more. (runs like a little girl from bugs instead of stepping on them)

OK, I just spent about two hrs in the garage (maybe less?).
I just did a valve adj, rotated tires, put stock front brake pads in, the Spec VRs were getting thin but still have meat after 40,000 miles :!:  :!: :!:
Time to clean up the garage and shower. Long, very long week ahead of me and lots of driving!
It's so nice outside (temp wise) I'm wearing a t-shirt& jeans working on the car. I simply love living here in SC!

Its freaking cold! I spent ~5hrs in the garage working on the DD. I have a leak in the trunk that I found last week...through an odor in the car. The entire trunk was wet, and I think it has spilt over on the rear seat. I stripped the trunk to bare metal and mopped up the water. Next is cleaning up the inside and pulling the rear seat. I'm thinking the best method for the rear seats is a bleach/water solution to kill any mold etc. Let it air out and then reinstall. I may just leave it stripped and rock the ricer look. :P

The R is now missing more and more...no shifter components,no dash, no fenders, no cowl. I wanted to start applying POR 15 to the front end but its 22 degrees, and even with the heater on for four hours I could still see my breath in the garage. That will wait for later this week/after the 1st.

Nice :) Tomorrow I drop the insurance down to "storage" on 309 then it's time to dive into the bigger projects. Security, body work, oil pan gasket to start. Kinda droolin over some tasty I/H/E parts and sussy, but gotta stay focused on the important things first... I still get to order kaa parts though :D

Details of said kaa parts? I'm quite jealous...you can drive youRs. :D

The more I remove the more I want to replace. My dash has CW overspray, and has a crack in the upper portion closest to the windshield. The cowl is definitely going to be replaced now that I learned the price is much cheaper($162) then I thought($500).

So I see we still haven't made it to page 1264...

haha, nothing exciting, security add-ons, more odds n ends clips/etc. The J's intake is definitely going, it's rubbing the paint off the underside of hood in a spot, bare metal is no-no...so eventually I'll have to pickup another intake...maybe Comptech Icebox...best bang-4-buck in my price range right now I thinks..
