Parting is ONLY a last ditch option. IF I did it, most parts have already been spoken for, regardless of car color.CivicBeater wrote:Dave, it would only make sense to part out items to another "yeller" owner. Don't give in to the white people!

Re: The OT place for OGs to BS w/o BS.
I could've made a lot of money back parting out my last civic, however chose to sell it outright with all of the mods. I understand not really wanting to part it out. Even though ITR's are way easier to install/remove parts vs. new civics it's still a bitch.Dave_B wrote:Parting is ONLY a last ditch option. Has nothing to do with the time/effort PITA piece of it... it's more that I spent the last 4.5 years piecing this car together as I wanted and spent a lot of time in it. It's more sentimental for me to keep it whole than part. Hell, the motor/trans is out of it right now, the rest is all bolt on crap.

Yep. I understand that part of it too. You're just going to have to sell it to someone who will keep it in the community. Or else who cares about sentimental value b/c you'll never see it again.Dave_B wrote:Has nothing to do with the time/effort PITA piece of it... it's more that I spent the last 4.5 years piecing this car together as I wanted and spent a lot of time in it. I care as I see it leaving whole, not butchered in pieces.

Gotcha, my idea of "parting it out" means replacing it with stock parts. Not stripping it down to a shell. Good luck with whatever you decide.Dave_B wrote:I care as I see it leaving whole, not butchered in pieces.

Tuesday felt like it was Monday, even though I worked both days. Today feels like it should be Friday. I fear Friday might be "one of those days".Bradstard wrote:Man it's one of those days...

It's Friday! Boss is off this afternoon too
Type-R is going to the shop tomorrow to have some new suspension arms done, weather is great, and less than 4 weeks to Le Mans!

Says who?
So the "shop" picked up my 98 yesterday, I know I've had problems but I'll take my hat off to anybody that is going to drive two hours to trailer my car back. They're going to throw a complimentary s300 in it and see if it helps mitigate (hopefully not mask) current issues. And on the very same day my PIC Selects came in weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, time to scramble to get everything in order for expo.... can't friggen wait!

Morning. If I had fillings, they would have been shaken out with how bad the brake vibration is in the R. My dad is borrowing my TL, so I got the R 'driveable'. I've got rotors sitting in it that will go on tomorrow. Also found out I have a rattle coming from my shifter since replacing the Fastline with a stock.
