Old wound :( I guess the only other thing to try would be to really pay attention to keeping your elbows bent, and check your fit to be sure you're not putting extra weight on your hands and wrists.
Ends = a given!

Bent = I wonder if that caused my issue... if I keep that arm straight it can hold more weight (but would be taking more shock in and out).
Fit = I drive one now :lol: ... and don't know what I need to do. I will ax Boobie to look my style over and give me 'points' on my position/fit.

thanks.
Is not clogged, just old, and compressed beyond any usefullness. Guess i'll actually have to buy a new part for this caR, it's mostly built from spares/throw aways/freebies anyway. :p

stupid question time, I want to pick up an axle from vatozone... they never give you a way to specify an ITR from a GSR, just asks if you have vtec or not (which I find humor in)... For all I know they're the same item, but I wanted to double check before I ordered.

Depends on how much you want to spend. :)

I know someone who did theirs in FL and it's EXCELLANT!!! But they also paid around $400 in materials alone.

Gotcha, I wasn't 100% sure if the wheel bearings or intermediate shafts were different.

Be careful with the autozone axles. I bought a set (just because my oems had 90k miles on them or so). I got so much vibration in my drivers side wheels. Just when I was taking off maybe 30%-40% throttle.
I Took the axle back to autozone and got another, still same issue. I then thought it was the front wheel bearings, from me beating around getting the axles out.
Replaced the bearings, didn't make a difference. I ended up dropping my old oem axles and this made the problem go away. I am still running the sames axles to this day. When they blow, I will just take them a axle shop and have them rebuilt. Indy rack and axle FTW

If I do recall, R's have a different oem part #, vs other tegs.

Idk, I may have gotten two bad axles from auto. But just wanted to share my headach with that situation.

I used two units in my GS-R for a few months before selling it and my current daily driven 98' has had an autozone axle in it for 23k/last 12 months. You may have had bad luck, but like you I wouldn't use them as my primaries. They are great backups though. $90/per is a steal for new units.

ITR axles do not have the vibration damper donut on the axle shaft.

As spares I think they are great. I'v even tracked the set at NSS in the daily last September. Long term on a track driven car, I would look towards Drive Shaft Shop. They are based in NC and I'v had my current set for about four years and a number of track events. (Every event but the NSS one I referenced earlier).
