Winston Salem is completely shut down. Schools closed, businesses, churches, city government, macdonalds, etc. They show all of these closings and delays on the news with the school closings too. I've lived quite a few places and have never seen another place that does things other than schools and daycares on the closings. I find it silly.
Apparently parts of I-40 and 85 are closed as well.
by the way we got about 1/16" of snow overnight which has all melted and it's mildly damp outside.

235 accidents reported in upstate SC alone.
I had zero issues rocking the roller skate this morning to work. Was actually hoping for some icy conditions.

For the record, I love the laughs I get from Steve/Erik. Don't ever leave this forum.
I'm off to lunch.

Funny thing is.....it's mostly the SUVs in the ditch up here. :invincible:
Same over here. The more expensive the SUV, the further it is off the road.

I look at bad weather as the most effective way to put certain drivers where they appropriately belong.

vCenter upgrade went smooth, only one VM with corrupt data, moved it to a host, then removed the host from vC prior to upgrade. Only other issue was vCenter installer refusing to see the DSN, ended up just typing it in and that worked.
If I have enough spare time today I'll migrate my dev cluster from ESX 4.0U1 to ESXi 4.1. Oh yeah, also it fixed the performance graphs

You all are funny down south with this weather.
We have idiots here, but that's usually only during the first snow or two. After that, everyone remembers how to drive. The first snow here, all those jerk-offs with expensive SUVs were stupid dangerous.

I am friggin pissed right now... ODU waited until the last second to cancel exams today and now all the fuck-tards that cant drive have crashed at both tunnels and 2 of the bridges that get you out of here!
I cant leave for christmas break lol... I just spent the last 1.5hrs trying to make it to the highway and it was no use.

W-S has always been like that. We had a snow day back in high school that was 42 degrees and sunny. Not a single flake was seen.

Yep, sometimes it's best to relax and let the turds dangerously flee. I do that a lot, even if it means leaving at night.
Edit: fixed that word in there, had no idea it had other connotations.

LOL, I'm not sure if this is region-specific but 'zipperhead' is a racial slur. Not that I particularly care, but just so it isn't busted out at a water-cooler conversation years down the road.

"The soldiers claimed that the tire tracks from the jeeps left a pattern resembling that of a closed zipper along the corpse."
A derogatory term used in reference to people of Asian descent.
