I found a strategic spot, unfortunately I'd probably get a larger insurance check than I'll get for selling it. Not saying that I'd want it stolen but that's a sad reality.

She is ugly as snot, the main event we're building it for is a 25 hour enduro at Nelson Ledges which I know has a place in your heart. If it lives thereafter then that's just a bonus.
Better weld and torque everything possible. You don't know bumps 'til you've driven Nelson

Is it that bad? From all of the videos I've watched it looks like the worst road course in the united states, which is why it is so appealing to us.
I did my SCCA license school there in '95. It was the weekend after the classic 24 Hours of Nelson Ledges. They hadn't even swept the track! I spun under power in our practice starts between T1 and T2 because of all the marbles!!

There are plenty of stories about cars disappearing when they go way off track. A motorcycle was found about 15 years after it disappeared during a race. They were draining the swamp. They contacted the owner and he got it back!

The track is actually a fun configuration, but built on a swamp, so the track breaks up all of the time and it's poorly maintained. It used to be you had to bring your own toilet paper.

Have a blast at the race.

Nelson was my first road course ever, ITR on V700 victoracers, zero HPDE/lapping experience, plenty of clownshoe experience. Love that place, and how they run their 'events'. :)
If they moved the track to a stable surface, and maintained it, would be a great fun track.

The car is a long way from being ready so hopefully time/money/drivers all comes together by October. Just picked up a new timing belt from the dealer today and will hopefully be putting in the motor tomorrow. It's going to be a rather hideous machine.

Not bad. I like how that is portable and it wouldn't take up a garage space like a lift when it was in place. The $350 ends tomorrow, then its back up to a $2,000 unit.
