Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
Definitely do your research and read up. Before even considering making the purchase sure you are in the position to own an ITR: Daily driver? Garage? Etc. Even if the car has an alarm I would budget $500+ for a stealth install of a DEI or quality alarm. At the end of the day though, they're still a Honda so don't be afraid of 100k miles Goodluck!

check out back in black's itr that's in the classified section...sneekyseven wrote:A friend just turned me onto ITR's. I'm shopping around and spending a lot of time(too much time) learning anything I can find here on the forum and the internet. Overall these cars are holding their value exceptionally well. I'm just a little anxious about finding the right one that hasn't been abused
Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
Hello fellow North Carolinian Hondaphiles. I'm sadly not one of you lucky ITR owners, but I am the pround owner of an 06 Civic Si, that's my pride and joy. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area, and would love to get up for a meet sometime. I've lurked around here for a while, but I'm a regular over at 8thcivic.com. Here's a pic of my girlfriend:

Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
I'm not worried about it breaking at the track. I'm worried about one of those terrible "what if" scenarios that leave me stranded there with a broken car, and no way to get it home, and no money to fix it.coolhandluke wrote:Your car is brand new and you are worried about issues mechanically on track? Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
The reason I might not be going this year... My caR will have 100,00 miles on it at the time of Expo. The risks of failure are much greater and the costs would be too much to bare
I can drive it anywhere with almost no worries but tracking it...
The choice is up to you, I have been at Expos 3 til current and I must say it's something I have been looking foward to each year.

Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
I just wanted to chim in, cause I'm back in a new R & I currently live in Somewhere, NC. Once the weather starts playing nice to us here, some of us need to try and set up a NC & even a SC meet somewhere! Someplace where we can take some great pics & enjoy some BEER & company! Any ideas or suggestions of places??? I down for wherever, just as long as it's not like a million miles away like Cali!

Nice Pick up! Do U still plan to follow his footsteps with drag'n the R or possibly turn it back into what ITR's were really built to do... da road course! haha j.p. if u plan just to drag, nothing against it. My drag days are over, I've already done 10's and nothing more exciting about it anymore! Keep it safe & under da RADAR yo!

Re: NorthCarolina ITR owners!
Dave have you ever been out to the western part of NC around Boone and Asheville? If not then there's the answer, plus the blue ridge parkway is some of the most fun/spirited driving you could ask for (beyond the dragon of course, but that's more intense).Dave_B wrote:SC/NC meet sounds good to me. I plan on going out there in october time frame when the leaves are changing, if this is something you'd be interested in let me know, maybe we could get a bunch of fuckers out there.

We definitely need to get something going, find a location, figure out a date/time, and make it happen . Then we'll plan out the rest of details and go for a road trip!itrsteez wrote:Dave have you ever been out to the western part of NC around Boone and Asheville? As for Asheville, I have been there, and going up to Gatlinburg this weekend.
However, I think I just read you'll be taking some awesome pics during said day... if so... GAME ON!
That's not far at all from me, it's a little over an hour for me to Asheville. I haven't ventured off the HWY yet, but I'm down. However, keeping up in my stock CX hatch is not going to be fun...
