Bizzare. I went to General --> Keyboard (thanks for that, btw) and it was already checked. Went back to test it, and it was working (doubletap the arrow). That was not the behavior at lunch today when I had to capitalize each letter one at a time.

One more usability question - is it possible to hide the keyboard while composing/replying to an email? Then bring it back up and finish typing?

Used to be that you could simply tap on the message outside the keyboard and the keyboard would disappear. That worked when I had my older phone, but doesn't seem to in the newer versions of the OS.

3 bars of signal - Were you standing directly under one of AT&T's towers and holding the phone with your right hand to get that great of signal?

Droid ate my SD card tonight. I kept getting prompts saying Okay or Cancel regarding the "volume of text messaging." They kept getting more frequent throughout the night and then I got the SD card issue. I'v turned the phone off and reseated the card twice. No luck. Looks like the NCCAR pictures are lost.

Seriously? I never had an sd card issue in my G1, and that card now resides in my Nexus One without any issues at all.

Do you have a card adapter for it? One of those micro sd into sd card things? I have one if you want to borrow it.

I don't. I finally broke down this morning and hit the re-format button. The card appears to have died as I still have the same issue.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you at least try in another device first?

I've heard of similar things on phones, but users are able to recover data from a PC.

I just tried the adapter. No go. The card reader shows up under My Computer but doesn't see the SD card.

In that case, Ryan I think it's dead. Sucks to lose pics like that. :(

Amazon has 8 GB class 6 cards for ~20. Great if you plan to do Apps to SD at some point. (have the apps on the SD card, instead of internal mem)
