The SD Card came with the phone, so I'm calling Verizon to have them replace it.

Ok, need one of you Iphone users help...
Sr. has an Iphone and it technologically illiterate.
I sent him 2 MMS with pics of the new addition. But I'm going to need to be able to walk him through how to check on his phone.
Iphone 3G or 3GS, OS version unsure. Not sure if any of that matters.
Is there a "messages" on the "home screen" on those things? If anyone can give a step by step, in stupic 3 year old terms (what the icon says, and looks like) that would be much appreciated!!!

tell him to click/touch/poke/whatever that green icon. Should be on top of main home screen page unless he's moved it (doubt that). It will say SMS like this or may just say "text" or "messages" underneath without the "SMS."
Then if your message doesn't immediately show up have hi click "messages" at the top left of the screen and it will take him back to a list of all incoming messages. scroll to find your name and click/poke/touch/whatever the most recent message from you and it will come up. He can then click on any photos from you and they will be saveable from the enlarged photo screen.

He may not have updated the os to enable the mms.
I don't remember what software revision it is. But my 3g did not come with mms from the factory. I'm not sure about the 3gs however.

Hrm... when are you doing this on your camera? If the results are good I may have to try on my 880IS

Yeah, I've got a SX110 that could be a candidate too.

If one were to buy a MBP today, is it work the money to with an i7 over an i5? I'm looking at a 15" MBP and think a SSD would be better performance on an i5 than a 7200rpm HD on an i7.

I would say that it has a lot to do with what one intends to do with said MBP? If you're just surfin' the web, who needs the extra cores? Also, using more cores is using more power, meaning shorter battery life. In most cases, where you do not need the extra cores, the SSD will make for superior performance. But, for hardcore graphics/video processing (which use copious processor cycles and may need more disk space, but disk speed is less important), the i7 could be a better choice.

I'll have my bottom of the barrel i5/4gb/320 5400rpm there this weekend, you're more than welcome to stress test it. I know somebody that did put a 128gb SSD on and they like it a lot, I know they just general use so the only metric they have to gauge is start up time. The benchmark tests that I saw for the i5 and i7 weren't convincing enough to spend the extra money. Overall I'm extremely impressed with this machine over my past 2.4 core 2 duo MBP.

I'm thinking 2.4 i5, 8gb RAM, 128gb SSD, upgraded screen res, and removing the super drive to put in a 500+gb drive.

First thing I did this morning.
Well the SMS prompts returned on my phone after lunch. Same errors I had when my SD Card crashed. The prompts were non-stop and the phone became hot to touch. First Verizon store couldn't do anything so I took it back to the store that replaced the SD Card. They didn't troubleshoot it at all, they just ordered me a new phone. The phone has been really glitchy / laggy the last day or so I am hoping the new phone doesn't have the same issues.

What did that quote include?
Normally the ISP handles a large portion of that transition
