So... I'm flashing the updated version of Froyo for the Hero (never will be native) and a new kernal.
Hopefully after this Angry Birds will play a little smoother.
If not, EVO will be my next step.

Nah, well worth it so far.
Also installed Sprint TV.
I still think an EVO will be in store due to Proc and Screen size.

Anything to make Angry Birds run better is worth it.
I've beaten the regular version, and now I'm working on the Halloween version. These are tough.

I wish they had the halloween version for the Android devices.

Who wants to buy an unlocked iphone4? I'm about to make the jump to t-mobile with the 4g service.

Can you not use the iPhone 4 on that service?

iPhone 4 isn't set up for 4G, so I wouldn't get the benefits. I'd probably get a little faster speeds, but not as fast as I'd like.

Did you ask for the one with more 4G's? :p
Realistically, how good is their 4G coverage?

Waiting to find out how good the coverage is before final decision. I've been getting unhappy with my service as of late. I don't drop calls bit everything else seems to lack.

Sprint's 4G coverage is very minimal right now. I know that most major airports have a tower. Here is the coverage for Virginia, only the blue is 4G.
It appears that only Richmond have 4g coverage.

Yeah Sprint has been slacking on expanding. I think I read its because of issues with WiMax when it comes to expansion.
T-Mobile's 4g service is in my area, Richmond, Greenville, Baltimore, New York and Jacksonville, so it covers all the areas that I would possibly be in.

o.k. technophiles....
I am ready to pick up a new phone...
I am looking at a Droid X or the HTC Droid Incredible....
Any thoughts on either?
They seem to be very similar.....except in battery life.....

I can't speak for the Incredible, but my rooted/ROM'd X has pretty good battery life. I'm not running the expanded battery either. In factory form the battery life is pretty weak, even on 2.2.

I routinely get 36 hours + out of my Incredible. 1 day 18 hours isn't unheard of.
But I'm not wailing on the thing all day, either. Figure 30 minutes talk, gmail, the facebooks, maybe some Angry Birds, check the news/weather/etc.
Play with them both. I like the HTC Sense interface, many hate it
*edit - How is Verizon's coverage in ILM? Marginal cell signal kills batteries in a hurry, as the radio keeps snooping around.
