As for painting it... Powercoating might be better both for durablity and coolness. Acutally! If you are going to paint it, Jetcoating might be the best way... Jetcoat the enitre exhaust- I bet the gains alone would be worth it.

Hiroki also has the hytech Exhaust on his R, Let's see if he pops in this thread.

Why are you going to paint the R, I thought it looks pretyt good. But if you do paint it I suggest PY

I remeber seeing Hiroki at CMP, I thought he had the Mugen Twinloop.... I vaguely remember it being very quiet, which is a great thing. As for painting it... I like it to look like its not even there. The exhaust I have now is flat blacked with high temp paint. Its been that way since I've had the car and havent had any problems with it. No chips or flaking!

I like the look, and dont want to bring attention to myself. Although the Hytech exhaust is pretty incognito..

As for painting the car....

A buddy of mine paints, he learned a technique over the past few months to get the car to sparkle like the Barret Jackson Auto Auction cars. Plus I have some body work I want him to take care of. Some dings, and some waves. He keeps telling me he's anxious to do it. Plus while he's doing it I'll be able to get a lesson on Block sanding and painting.. By then I should have a cage of sort so he'll be able to spray that while he's at it..

All of that for a price I cant refuse!!

It is extremely quiet at all times other than WOT. Even then its far quieter than most exhausts. I really think its one of the best sounding exhausts I've ever heard on a honda. I love it and alot of people kept coming up to me and asking about at at Expo this year. You would not be disappointed.

Jim, I knew you were in VA, but for some reason when I read your statment about shipping, it hit me wrong and I thought you were saying you were in cali. I need more sleep.

when I emailed them I got responses almost immediately, but its definitely best to talk to them over the phone. John will work with you to make sure that you get exactly what you want in the most timely manner possible.

They should start paying me. Can I mark myself as spam? contact a moderator.

I think they open at either 8 or 9. Just can't remember which.

no he doesn't know me, I was just really really impressed with the service I got from them and his eagerness to chat on the phone and go through every possible option until we foudn what I wanted.

They had none in stock when I ordered. He told me it would be about 3 months and it arrived in 3 months. I ordered at the end of october and got it around december 1st. If he doesn't have any ready to go it'll be a wait, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Since its not going to be his standard exahust designed to mate up with his header and cat it may take a bit longer even if he has them in stock, but don't quote me on that.
