at the same time though we don't want the event to fill completely with randoms and only have a handful of Rs on track....YellowKahuna wrote:This is all the ammo I need, get ready for the raincoolhandluke wrote:ITR Expo has always been open to Non-ITR's.

and that's where it becomes difficult to determine the likelyhood of a good turnout beforehand.Dave_B wrote:xeleventybillion.Erik95LS wrote:at the same time though we don't want the event to fill completely with randoms and only have a handful of Rs on track....YellowKahuna wrote:This is all the ammo I need, get ready for the raincoolhandluke wrote:ITR Expo has always been open to Non-ITR's.
IMO it should be open to ITR's first, then other makes/models.

attitude really not necessary. unless that was meant to be a joke.... Glad Rs are wanting to sign up though.YellowKahuna wrote: So you guys bringing your R's or what?
I have 30 R's already committing to tracking there cars and more to add to the list. What are you worried about. Im getting all the ITR's I can get in first. Then the rest. I have yet to round up the others. Don't start with me. I've seen your Expos and how many R #'s attended, I understand.
My R has 130k on it and about 7,600 miles of that is just driving to and from Expo the past 3 years. It's always made it home after being tracked REALLY hard for those two days (I don't go there and pussy-foot it, etc.) It definitely can be done, plus, what lots of those West coast people don't know (because they've never made the trip to Expo) is that there is LOTS of friend-support at Expo should something go wrong; nobody will leave you there high and dry. I know it's up to each car owner, but I'm telling you it can be done successfully.TeamPortugal wrote:This'll give us a good middle ground and we're not losing those who make the trip every year or who are contemplating 20+ hour trips in a car they are planning on tracking and driving home. Just a thought..
I would be a little nervous driving 20 hours w/ my dd, tracking it, and driving it back home with it being a higher mileage car.
No need to come in here name-callin', Isaac. And while your list is nice, all of those people really do need to register and pay (when that's open) for it to mean anything.YellowKahuna wrote:Ok you bunch of Jerks, already shooting us down with out giving us a chance
If you're waiting for registration to kick off before starting your marketing plan then you'll be too late. Make sure everybody knows to not spend thier duckets on spoon tow hooks and have at least $350 in their reserves and ready to strike.YellowKahuna wrote:LOL
Let me know when registration starts so I can really put in work. I'm just starting.
What kind of beer do you want me to bring you at Expo?YellowKahuna wrote:LOL

This is very true, couldn't have more support at any track event ever.... Unless you bend a valve, and someone you've never met is generous enough to lend you a brand new never used Honda factory cylinder head so you can get home, and you never return it or compensate them, or return their phone calls. Then that person will probably be shit out of luck.R-box wrote: there is LOTS of friend-support at Expo should something go wrong; nobody will leave you there high and dry.
Wow, I never knew the outcome of that - that sucks. Usually, though, (and what I meant more) is that there are tons of hands and lots of experience at Expo to help you out. I'm :hands up in the air: on the borrowing of parts.KOALA YUMMIES wrote:Interesting. First few pages, worried about lack of turn out, and event flopping.
Last page, worried about so much turnout that ITRs will be minority.

I don't think anyone is saying it should be ITRs only, but rather, to make sure it stays the ITR Expo, give fair preference to Rs during the registration process somehow... :shrugging: I'm tryin' to help, I swear!cheezthis wrote:As far as the registration goes, we'll figure it out like we always do.
I have to do some research on how much Willow Springs can hold. Remember, we need more instructors to handle more students. In the midwest, I have a ton of people to network with. On the east coast, Willard can do the same. On the west coast...? I know my friend Charlie/Top Setup recently moved out there, but I don't have an instructor base out there yet.
That's a huge part of the event that we'd need to figure out.
ITRs only...if we did that, we would have failed at Expo 4 and beyond.
I always give precedent to previous attendees whenever possible, so keep that in mind. We do our best to accommodate as many as we can. That's one thing that Wes is very good at.
In all fairness of jokes, it's not really nice to infer that west coast people have a tendency for theft. (Not bein' butt-hurt here, cuz I lub ya Luke - just sayin'.)itr #1334 wrote:Seriously?
