So after getting off my lazy ass I finally got around to installing the PIC bushings and control arms. I've got about 1000 miles on them so far, probably another 1000 miles will be put on before I head down to CMP for We-todd 3.

My thoughts on the product.....

After getting the pieces from Chris (elaum) they sat in the garage for awhile while I compiled a parts list for the local Honda dealership. I replaced a lot of stuff while I was in there, some necessary, some not.

The PIC arms looked pretty, I wasn't a huge fan of the white but figured the function out weighed that. All the arms looked just like the stock pieces (they are factory pieces), def a difference in the bushings. The rear lower arms have spherical bushings, the rear trailing arm bushings are hard rubber, and all others are poly urethane. The bushings were nice and stiff, most noticeable was the RTA bushings. The work was completed at my friends Honda dealership so that we could get the car on the alignment rack immediately after. Started around ten, figured it would only take a few hours(the crack from the night before must have clouded our judgment), lol!

PLUG FOR JACK:

Jack is a very intelligent tool :P , there are very few people (three including myself) that I trust with my car, Jack is def one of them. Jack was able to fit me in on a friday night, before he had to wake up at 2am to drive 500+ miles. He also walked me thru what exactly he was doing, when it came time for the alignment he explained everything to me, talked about my driving history/experience/preference, and made the alignment fit me. Jack, thank you for helping me out, from the black car to the white one, I'll always be coming to you. I RECOMMEND YACK TO ANYONE, I know Nolan and myself have been driving the 400+ miles to see him for years! :beer: + :tuna: for joo, buddy :thumbup:

Thanks to Rob and Erik for hanging out, I think yack and I were the only ones to partake in drinking but it was fun times just the same. Thanks to all three of you for getting me in to pow wei swing swong mongolian beef rice and broccoli, that place rocked!

After Jacks, Erik and I drove to CMP for some much needed track time. Due to oversleeping a bit, needing a shower, changing wheels, registering, and getting tech'd, I missed the first session :(

NOTE: Last night I realized my master cylinder is slowly taking a shit. I was affected at cmp by a spongy pedal, however, the brakes worked great, just took a a little more push to get them stopping. I will not mention this throughout the thread, this was the only problem with the car.

Second session I was out.

First turn impression: The ass end WILL come out, not on its own, but with a little (little) help, I like.

The rest: The car felt completely solid, braking, steering, turn in, exit, there wasnt a time the whole weekend where I felt the car wasnt perfect. I have had a little vibrations under hard braking at past track events, finding I dont really get on the brakes that hard. This event, the vibrations were gone and I found myself stomping on the brakes, car feeling amazingly stable.

I am by far not the fastest or fast for that matter, but I feel given the circumstances, I did fairly well with speed, braking, and getting around the track. I wish I would have done bushings/yack alignment far before this experience.

I had no binding, strange noises, clunking/thunking issues throughout the weekend. Each suspension component seemed to complete its motion without conflict, on or off the track. Obviously I am not under my car while its moving but from a feel/sound standpoint, everything worked out superbly.

There are just about 3000 miles on these products and I have absolutely no complaints or regrets. No sqeaks, no strange noises, I am COMPLETELY SATISFIED with PIC's product, I recommend to all.

If you ever get some time to get down to Jack, I strongly recommend spoiling your car to Jack's knowledge. :thumbup:

A buddy showed me this link from Honda Tech a little while back. I'm no fan of the white, but regardless, I'm glad to see that PIC finally got these out on the market. I'm curious to know though if those polyurethane bushings are just a one-off thing because when talking with Jim Hung early last year, he wasn't really a fan of PU bushings. He did however tell us they were trying to develop some sort of hybrid PU/rubber bushing - do any of you guys closer to PIC know if this has happened or is that kit pictured just PU and the ones available online just rubber?
