Here is my story!

Ok I just made an account on this forum yesterday so I figured I would introduce myself. I got my ITR my senior year in high school which was 04. It's a 2000, black. And basically I knew I liked the car back in high school but I really don't know much about it. Sadly I probably did not deserve to have this car but fortunately my brother who is older paved the way for me to get help with my parents for my car.

With that said it is 09 now and I have had my car for about 5 years and have not done a single thing to it. Totally like the guy I bought it from left it. Except for a few more scratches. And I have really had a desire to learn more about the ITR front to back. I don't know much about cars in general but I really want to learn the ins and outs of my car.

I have 2 main questions for you guys here..

1. Where is a good place to get info on my car?
2. I want to do a few things to my car but I don't know if it is a good idea or not. I want to black out the tail lights. And paint the rims black and re-paint the calipers red. And I have no idea how to do any of those things. Or where to go to buy new tail lights.

If anyone actually read all of this I will be happy :) Hope someone out there can point me in the right direction!

Here I figured I would add some pictures so you guys can see my car ;)

Calipers need new paint I know. And the whole thing is in need of a cleaning.

And also how do I post pictures that do not require clicking to view full size? They are set up 8x6 I just don't get why it thumbnails them.

View the forum sticky on picture posting. It should be all you need. http://www.itrca.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5979

Glad you are learning to appreciate it and haven't riced it out (except the caliper paint)! Just keep it safe.

The best thing to do with your car is keep it exactly the way it is. You don't have to mess with anything because the car was perfect from the factory.

As steez said, the ITR is a great platform off the factory floor. Many end up modding the car to various levels and eventually return it to the stock form and enjoy the car more. Seat time (Auto-X and track days like HPDEs) is the best way you can spend your money, and I say that from experience. Other events like ITR Expo and We-Todd Expo and other meets are great experiences where you get to meet other members of the community face to face. Many make life long friendships through this great community centered on these caRs.

Cool. A previous owner, possibly the original owner of your caR was "slash00R" over on Honda-Tech. He sold heR 8/03 with ~31k miles. He was out of Atlanta, GA. Just some FYI if you didn't know already :)

Oops forgot to respond. :) I'm working on an ITR Registry project and came across the previous owner and info in my wanderings 8)

Doespike doesn't eat, sleep, or take breaks. He's a living breathing ITR DMVesque database...or a jedi master...
