Any suggestions on what to get?
I'm thinking skunk2 tuner series stage 2 cams and tuner series cam gears with blox valve springs and titanium retainers but im wanting to do some research so i dont throw all my money away.

Could you be more specific with supporting mods you already have on the car? Stock internals? Bolt ons?

Where would you like increased power in the rpm band?
Skunk2's are a good choice. I loved my Toda Spec B's way back when but idle with insane...people thought my timing was off.

I'm looking for more power in the lower to mid power band. Something that can give me an extra push before vtec kicks in. I've been lookin around a lot and I'm thinking about actually going with the pro 1's instead. ???

You will need more compression to utilize the Pro 1 cams. I say this because I run them on my car. It's a fully built 218 WHP NA build (utilizing stock bore, but JDM P30 pistons and a bunch of head work) I would suggest a Toda cam, as they are known for their mid-range.

Toda Spec B's is what I would run again if I went back to N/A...I think you'll love the rough idle
Like Dave said tho, if you up the comp. on the motor you'll love the Pro 1.

I have one more question and I didn't want to create a new thread to ask. Has anyone used the skunk2 pro 1's with stock compression and if so what were the gains if any and would the numbers be similar between the stage 2's and pro 1's on stock compression? I just don't want to end up spending a bunch of money of stage 2's then end up upping the compression later and wishing I'd gone with the pro 1's.

I put in TODA spec C cams with their spec C retainers and springs. I also purchased their TODA ITB's. They work great! the idle isnt really that bad i dont mind it. but if force induction is a goal of yours in the future sometime, def cant use em cuz of their profile, they are more of an all motor cam.

I have the Pro 1's in my fully built track car. I think in your case, it would be better to run the "tuner" series cams, than the Pro's.
If your having thoughts about rasing the compression, do it now. Wait the little while longer to save up and do it while you have things apart.

Toda Spec B's or Pro ones are a good choice. Raise the compression. you will love it. I liked the power so much that I even hauled off and built my other car. A 96 Prelude 12.2:1 compression. Its Great.

When I was running my Spec B's I put in a Mugen head gasket which bumped the comp up just a bit (cheapest way to do so) ...ran fine.
Let me ask you this...what are you final plans with the car? When its all said and done, what are you trying to get out of it and what do you plan on actually doing with the car?
If it’s just a bit more low to mid range power you are after and wanting to keep it simple and reliable, I would suggest a supercharger and call it a day. With the money you are going to be spending on cams and what not, you are in range of a SC application and you'll have noticeably more power than a NA setup. Sorry to get off topic on you but I’d hate for you to spend all that money and not be in the power range you want. After you do those NA mods…to get more power out of that motor you are looking at BIG $$$$. Ask these ITB guys.
Which is why I asked your plans for the car.
I/H/E
Comptech SC
Hondata/Tuned
You’d be set
Cant beat that bang for the buck

Erick is right the supercharger is a really good way to go. I did not think to recommend that to you. If you do go the N/A route plan on spending a lot of money. Just to give you a taste I have spent about 3K on the B18C5 and Upwards of 7K on the H22.

Good point. The NA thing is starting to become a real hassle too. A SC seems like the way to go now.

Just to be sure....A Civic Si JR supercharger will fit on an ITR right?

Keep in mind though, while an SC is a great way to make power... heat is your enemy. Plan on getting the LHT cooler or something similar. And FWIW, your going to spend the same on either setup. I'm making 218 WHP on my car, fully NA and still with stock bore. I probably have as much as someone with a reliable, decent SC setup but they are making similar, or a little more power. Just depends on what your after.
<--- personally would NOT go the SC route.

Youd be surprised how well the ITR cools. I was running 10psi on a turbo setup with just a Mugen Thermostat/Rad Cap and the car never over heated. (In Louisiana for 6 years).
Hell I took my car running 16psi making upwards of 400whp on pump gas on a 50 mile plus Rocky Mountain run and I was SURE it would over heat on me some but didnt at all...matter fact it started running cooler than its normal level for some reason. This was on a 70 degree day. (Still no aftermarket cooling upgrades).
