recommend a itr-like replacement car?

Post by kensan »

Can anyone help? Things I liked about my itr (which I would've kept but it was ahem stolen)
- light
-cheap
- quick
- fun
- easy maintenance
- easy insurance
- motorcycle feel

Things I didn't like
- LOUD
- LOUD
- Hard to find a nice one for a reasonable price

I currently drive a e46 M3. And...it's just too big and heavy feeling. Can anyone suggest an alternative? Ideally...I would have a bone stock ITR but with the sound proofing still in the doors. I know heresy:) Oh and nothing on the body indicating it was an ITR so that it wouldn't attract theives. Sigh.

Why not another DC2 model... and swap it? Keep the sound deadening, not and ITR theft magnet (though some DC's still get stolen) and you still have basically the same body lines?

I just picked up a 09 SI 4 door...albeit I did not sell the ITR, but I would definatley recommend you test drive one....

A few things I would change if it were to see the track....

Upgrade to HFP suspension(stock has a little more body roll than I would like)
better tires, car came w/ all seasons, but there was a summer tire option
ss brake lines and pads
and if it was not brand new, I would do the 5.1 jdm final drive and a lw flywheel....

but other wise, I think it is a great car so far, as I have only put 1k miles on it....

Try to find a dealer that still has a Mugen Si sedan. I know of one that was just finally sold out of a Cleveland dealer for just under $24k out the door. One of my local Honduh stealers still had one a couple months ago...parked out on the back lot, filthy diirty. :P

If you want cheaper, then just stick with a GSR Integra. Prices are so cheap now.
