how does CFM fit into turboing a car?

im confused with the whole force induction specifics especially turbochargers. I've been reading a lot about turbochargers and the more i read the more acronyms i come across and the more confused i get with equations and such. but apparently CFM has alot to do with turboing a car, but im confused on how it affects the process or what part of the process does it play?...i guess. I thought mostly it was all about psi; compression and boost. can anyone please sum this up for me.

I see you took my comment in another thread to heart. :)

Do a quick google search on CFM vs. Boost

There is a LOT of information out there.

haha yeah i did :D . i did a google search after that thread and found some CFM calculators and a bunch of equations and some literature. From what i read then, i may be wrong, but as long as the air flow (CFM) and pressure ratio points are with in the compressor map then you'll be ok. but if they're not then you'll have to change some things to either one. is that correct?
