Bought from a middle-aged professional living in Moscow, ID, who purchased it from an older gentleman that picked it up new from the dealer in Albany, OR. Previous owners always garaged the car, and so have I. Never driven in winter. Detailed on a monthly basis. Condition of this well-kept car must be seen in person to be believed! Original Owner's Manual, Window Sticker, Helm Factory Service Manual included. Badge #98-0977 - 1 of 1,002 sold in US in 1998.
- ISSUES -
Transmission recently began to whine (05/2009). Most likely a bearing that can be replaced at minimal cost when doing clutch/flywheel service. Have spoken with another ITR owner that had the same whine, and he confirmed the initial diagnosis. No grinding/transmission dysfunction exists. Clutch still going strong, which is why I haven't had it fixed. Small nick on the rear bumper that has been filled with OEM Championship White paint. Several nicks/scratches on the wheels (none have been curbed though). Some scuffing on driver seat bottom from wearing shorts with velcro once (grrrrr). A couple *very* small dents on the hood, and two small dents on the driver side door - paint intact in all cases. Nothing a paintless dent removal professional couldn't fix if having the car looking like it just came off the showroom floor is your preference!
