Location: Columbus, OH
Price: $28,000 OBO
1997 Acura Integra Type-R #0069
819 Original miles (no swaps, no rebuilds… this car is practically brand new)
Championship white
Clean title
Here’s your chance to own a truly rare, collector-worthy Integra Type-R. This car is entirely stock and all original, with a clean title. This ITR is #69 of about 320 produced in 1997 (the first year available in the US), and is as good as it gets.
I am the technically the 2nd owner of this incredible car, as the original “owner” was Honda. This car was meticulously maintained under Honda’s ownership and spent it’s entire life at the Acura Service Training Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. As an employee of Honda, I was given the opportunity to buy this amazing piece of Honda history.
Condition:
The condition of this car is exceptional, both inside and out. The car was always stored indoors and covered when not in use, so as you can imagine the exterior is practically flawless. The paint feels as smooth as glass and there are no rock chips to speak of. Even looking at the under-carriage of the car, you’d be hard pressed to find any dirt. The only blemish to speak of is a small scratch in the paint of the front bumper beneath the passenger side headlight (about 5-inches in length). However, there is no damage to the base material. It’s still very smooth and should be easy to repair if you so desire.
The interior is equally as nice as the exterior; essentially spotless. It includes all original Type-R floor mats, as well as the rear trunk mat (which is no longer available), all of which show absolutely no signs of use or dirt. The only signs of minimal wear are on the passenger seat in the lumbar support area, where there are some small scuff marks in the suede. But, basically, the interior is flawless and looks brand new.
Sale Info:
My asking price is $28,000, but I will consider any reasonable cash offer (no trades).
Just for reference, the original price of $24k in 1997 is equal to approximately $32k today (see http://www.bls.gov/data/inflation_calculator.htm).
Please be aware that a bank will most likely not give you a loan for the full asking price of this vehicle. They will typically only finance 110% of the black/blue book value, which is somewhere around $12k (never very accurate for ITRs). Thus, please secure your funding before making me an offer.
