My Axles are cooked on my R! the previous owner has snaped them and replaced them with Cheaper ones. Now I have the Opporunity to buy either GSR Axles that are local and brand new or type R axles that have 25oookms on them. What is the big difference if any beetween the two?

there isn't to the best of my knowledge...I think they're interchangeable, for that matter, I think they may even be the same part number from Acura. If I were you, just get the ones that are newer, if you can get new GS-R ones over used ITR ones, that's what I would get. Call Acura when you get a chance and ask them to cross refference teh part numbers for you, that'll give you a better idea. The only difference I could imagine would be the half shaft, which I would doubt that you really need to replace.

On a side note, are you sure that you don't just need to rebuild your CV joints??? Frequently that's the only thing that needs to be done, which doesn't ussualy cost more that a CV boot and some grease.

I cant rebuild for sure...they are only cheap aftermarket jobbies anyways! I knew this when I bought the car, but now they are making all kinds of noises so I need to turf them....The GSR Axles will be sweet...I also need to change my rotors and pads, any suggestions?

Brembo for the rotors.

Porterfield R4S brake pads if you want a good compromise of excellent breaking ability during track use without the loud squawking of a racing pad. The R4 is a good pad if your ITR isn't a daily driver. I've heard good things about the Hawk and Axxis metal master pads, as well.

Depends on what you're looking for, and how much you're willing to spend.

My favorite rotors are the Endless/Zeal 32 slot rotors, or maybe they were 30 slot, well either way, they're pretty trick, but mad expensive. Some other nice ones are power slot, which are actually Brembo blanks that are slotted....hmm....there is also EBC, which are a bit noisy, DBA(Disc brakes Australia) which are pretty nice, and I think the last ones that I would remotely consider would be neuspeed, mainly because I think that black anodized finish is trick, but doesn't last for long.\

Pads, I like the Hawk HPS, the EBC green, and the project Mu pads, there are I'm sure many others, but those are the ones I preffer the most for the street. For the track, Hawk Blues or Carbotech Panther Plus, those are the only two that really work well that I've tried.
