hey Aj,

i read the mugen valve cover post in the classifieds, you said your engine blew. What happened? I really am looking at your setup and want to do something very similar to what you have. Sorry to hear. If there is something that failed that you would recommend me not doing i would appreciate it. Thanks!

Motors.....

Actually I have a few motors, the one that blew, blew up like 5 months ago, but it was no particular part that failed, it was becuase we used the wrong valve springs, and everything locked up. In any case, I get that motor back from Endyn this coming week hopefully, but the valve cover, has the side cut, and I won't run a cut valve cover on the street, so I figured I'd just get a couple bucks out of it, if not, I'll just use it for tunning.

Thanks for the heads up....

Aj,

What are you're objections to running a cut valve cover on the street?

I wouldn't run a cut one the street because of cops. Plus there is no need for it.

The reason I don't run a cut valve cover has nothing to do with cops, becuase in south FL, the cops here really dont care about anything like that. The reason I don't, is that I've seen things bounce up into the engine bay, and go between the cam gears and the timing belt causing the car to skip timing, therefore causing major havoc. And that's true, there really is no need for it.

thats true down in florida the cops really don't do anything as far and break up local gatherings... but theres alot of construction in florida and rocks and metal flying into the egine bay woud not be a good thing to happen.. you cut a timing belt or something and you have just been OWNED.
