Hey i bought my 2000 py itr about a month ago and have been doing nothing but research. They are amazing cars. It came with a comptech intake on it. My question is should i keep this intake or get a aem or something else. the mugen one is out of my price range right now. thanks for any help. glad to be a itr owner.

I have a Aem intake on my '01 and it makes kind of a menacing shriek in the Vtec range but sounds normal down low. Honestly, I can't feel any difference in power compared to the stock intake with a K&N air filter and prefer the growl of the stock intake more.

Comptech is nice, but mugen is where it's at as far as intakes are concerned. While, they can be a bit expensive, it's hands down the best intake out there. You can find them used in the $500 range.
