ITRCA

Hey everybody, i didnt see an introduction section so hope this is alright.
Im new to the ITR scene, and integra scene all together.
Although i do know my stuff when it comes to Hondas
I currently have a 1990 CRX that is in perfect condition, Im joining the Air Force so after i get out of my Technical schooling im trading my CRX to my brother, along with $5500 on my end for an ITR clone.

Im just trying to learn as much as i can and hope to from this site.
I have a few questions though.

I see some ITR's with the circle headlights, are those USDM? or was there a generation where they switched?
I noticed that the JDM fronts resemble the DA headlights so i didnt know if it was a time period.

Also what is a good suspension setup for these?

Hi there. For $5000 you can keep your CRX and get an actual ITR shell and probably afford a B18C ITR swap for it. I think you'd probably like owning an actual ITR rather than a clone. It's alot of work sometimes depending on what you will use your caR for, but it would be worth it in the end. All USDM headlights were the quad-circular style. JDM integras had them before the ITR years, but all JDM ones have the "DA Style" ones you speak of. As for ITR's, the stock suspension is fine until you actually use the car beyond its ability.

I also suggest you avoid a "clone". A real R has a feel that's very different from all other integras, and I think it would be very hard to duplicate by cloning. Some of the stiffness changes would be near impossible (although I can't say you'd "feel" those differences).

There were a LOT of differences between the GSR (top of the line prior to the R) and the R. 5-lug wheels, suspension, brakes, clutch, tranny, lightening, stiffening, bushings, bars, steering, and of course all the engine changes.

If you can get a real R I think you might be much happier, assuming you can find one in decent-enough condition. Feel free to ask lots of questions - I'm sure folks will be happy to help out...

Actually I think right now a ITR clone is a good fit for you.
