As always. F1 + intermittent rain = great race! Unfortunate that it is that way, but it's really kind of gotta be.

<--wants less downforce and more mechanical grip. Iron brakes and we'll be back to good dry racing.

Great race in Shanghai. What an awesome way to start the 2010 season. Great racing and a good mix of winners/Constructors.

Mercedes reposition airbox behind driver's helmet

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mercedes' W01 features considerable updates at Spain, including an all new airbox. The team is taking a completely different route in this area compared to its rivals by lowering the height of the air inlet to just behind the driver's helmet. The vertical crash structure is now completely decoupled from that aerodynamic function. In the first 4 races of the season, the W01 already featured this vertical crash protection running through the airbox.

The new design attempt to improve the airflow onto the rear wing by reducing as much elements as possible from the upper air stream. Mercedes is also still running its passive blown rear wing system, contrary to other teams attempting to make an active one through a shark fin engine cover.

Good luck to them. Be interesting to see how this latest piece of innovation pans out.

These are the reasons I love F1. All of the little things they do, and working the rules to the fullest!

During the race in Spain, was anyone else at home yelling for MSC to get his "geriatric-driving butt" outta the way/rooting for Button to get aggressive enough to pass him?

AGHHH!

Yeah, that was frustrating...then Button gave up and cruised the rest of the way.
Not the most exciting of races...could decent flares.

It sucked that Hamilton had wheel failure right at the end - didn't they already have this problem once before? Time to change products, perhaps, or is it team/driver error?

In the end, I was happy MSC (after that boring performance) didn't end up on podium as a result of Hammy's mishap.

Was also interesting to watch Vettel keep his brakes from completely going.

Was a pretty boring race unless you like watching a battle for 15th place between Rosberg and whoever else.
