Since there are plenty of us techs in here, we need a separate area for these kinds of things. Be is PC, phone, network, home theater...
<--- who just got an Android phone, has already rooted and loaded a custom rom. Now to start working on the over and under clocking while it's in and not in use.

I figure we, here talk about Technology stuff enough, we should have a thread to do so.
HTC Hero. While it doesn't have the Snapdragon 1 GHz, it was only $30 for the device (and will probably get a refund with the EVO comes out) since the price on the Hero will drop to nothing, and will be in my 30 days for price match.
I enjoy it, but can't see spending $200 on a phone that will be out of date in 3-6 months.

I program some home automation stuff if anyone is diving into that world.

Holy hell, I've become a gadget geek here recently and have spent WAYYYY too much money on crap I didn't need this year. I'm also waiting on the HTC Incredible. I'm looking forward to the 8 megapixel camera built in!
On a separate topic, does anyone know of a point and shoot that does 1080p video yet?

As far as a point and shoot I don't know of one with 1080p capability, if there was one then I would be highly skeptical on the frame rate, light sensitivity on a small sensor and compression used.
The best bang for the buck with 1080p is still the 7D or T2i

I want a T2i but can't find one for under MSRP in stock. Family vacation starts next weekend and I'd love to have it!

If I wasn't going on my trip on the 11th I'd just let you borrow the 5dizzle
I was messing with it about 30 min ago outside when ash was watering the plants, so here's a quick clip out of it. The picture out of this thing never ceases to blow my mind, and this is with the resolution cut down in half and compressed for web.

I broke down and ordered an Incredible last week. I got a spam text message from Verizon offering $50 off an upgrade, so I just bit the bullet and ordered instead of waiting for them to get back on the shelves.
