I don't have AC in my R and this needs to change.

I am looking for a complete list of the parts needed to put AC in a Non-AC R. Thank you.

You just need to swap out the button on the climate control and you're good to go. ;)

why would I? I have A/C. Ryan still drives his cars everywhere. you're just a puss who won't go to Mid-Ohio because you can't handle driving more than an hour without it :P

Hey Hey! FYI CMP is 3 hours away!! Yowzers!

Speaking of A/C. I supposedly have all the parts in a box from Jack. He reccomended that I get a new evaporator as the old one obviously hasn't been used for a while and has been exposed to the environment. However, anyone knowledgeable on installing? Besides mounting the condensor, I wouldn't know where to start.

A/C is over-rated. Only needed when it's raining. Windows should always be down anyway. :P

Are you referring to the 22 in the diagram? It appears there are two of them.

I bet you can take the bolt out with your hand. I've had that happen 3 times and each time I was able to get it out easily.

Yeah i have the same problem, but have been too lazy to get the bolt out and replace it. I'll have to replace the AC belt as well since I cut it off after the idler pulley bolt sheared off.

I now have everything from Image A but the really expensive fuses and harness (No. 23).

I have most of the parts from Image B. I'm not sure what lines or brackets/bolts (if any) I am missing.

I have the compressor (hope it works), the AC lower torque mount/brack, and belt.

Update: the broken part of the bolt apparently vibrated itself out. Team Lazy ftw

My hope is this thread will be a good reference point for others who were not fortunate enough to have dealer installed AC (97-98's) or factory installed AC (00-01').
