That thing is HELLA CLEAN for 140k on it. I'm not sure your going to get your asking price due to mileage, but GLWS!

Hi,

I'm #21 '98 with 138k miles. I thought I had one of the highest-mileage ones out here. Good to see another R that gets driven properly. :)

GLWS

definitely no where close to the highest mileage, she's just getting broke in.

I am the previous owner of this car. Car is super clean. Don't look at the mileage.

12K tops if it's in good running order and a 8-9 on body.

Looks good from the Pics good luck on selling her.

Wow, that's super clean. I got 145K miles on mine, and she still runs strong.

I would personally hold strong on the pricing but expect to flex. CW's always go for a bit more, but with that being said there's a mint 97 in Chicago with a fraction of the mileage that is asking less.

I wouldn't drop it to 12k just because somebody said so, a mint 98 will always find an appropriate home.

???

OP, can you please disclose these details? That can and probably will make a difference to a potential buyer.

Matching vins.

Someone needs to step up and clarify

I just talked the OP's brother, apparently one of the previous owners blew the motor at about 60,000 miles. Had it replaced with a new OEM long block at the dealership. He said there is paper for all the work done on the car from oil changes and etc. Even the motor replacement has paper documentation.

I offered your brother $12,000 for the car before, but after thinking that the motor has replaced. I would like to reoffer $11,000 only because I would have liked a matching VIN long block, original one at that. We'll talk about this though, you have my number.

True on the motor replacement. I have a picture of this caR's engine bay from a previous owner with orange painted B18C5 stamp area. Damn clean for the mileage :!:
